Handmade ceramic bowls, made from textured brown Australian stoneware clay. The surface of the bowls are hand-brushed with several coats of 3 different glazes to create this beautiful subtle contrast between the deep black gloss glaze and the satin black glaze, which are divided by a meandering line that highlights the beauty of the textured clay.

The base of the bowl is left unglazed, creating a stunning, organic contrast with the textured clay. Please note, this particular clay has a lot of texture which has a beautiful appeal. We take every care to polish the clay after firing to make it as smooth as possible, however the grit in the clay may mark delicate surfaces such as highly polished timbers. We recommend using placemats or alternatively choose one of our other finishes which are much finer, smoother clays.

inspiration

The Divided Earth tableware collection is inspired by our beautiful earth and all its textures & rawness. Rich colours with a subtle contrast are divided by a meandering line. The collection features bold textures and rugged surfaces, paired with more refined finishes and contemporary colour ways.

More pieces and colours will be added to the Divided Earth Collection seasonally. Please sign up to our newsletter to stay up-to-date!

caring for your ceramics

All our ceramics are hand-made in our Sunshine Coast studio, Australia. Variations and irregularities may occur in size, shape, colour & glaze, making each piece unique and one-of-a-kind.

All our ceramics are made using Australian, non-toxic, food-safe clays and glazes. They are oven and dishwasher safe, however we do recommend taking care as they are handmade of limited quantity. Take care to avoid sudden temperature changes (for example from the oven to a cold benchtop) as this is likely to cause thermal shock which can result in the piece cracking.
