These beautiful and unique teas are not only 100% Australian but are 100% wild harvested by Indigenous Australians from The Kimberley in Western Australia.

Jilungin Bush Tea has a herbal and earthy taste and has long been used for its calming and relaxation benefits. Bruno Dann, Traditional Owner and Aboriginal Elder, says that this tea is known to put you to sleep… a long deep sleep. To experience the true magic, not only are the leaves picked, but the bark and stems too. Together, it is an experience of the whole plant. Once picked, everything is dried in large bags in the bush. It is as a true traditional wild tea.

Maarr is a native lemongrass tea. Known for its fragrant citrus taste and subtle ginger aroma, Maarr is great to drink with meals as it aids digestion and freshens the palate. Scientists at Griffith University have discovered native lemongrass is as potent as aspirin in relieving headaches and migraines. Read more here.  Maarr is used in traditional Nyul Nyul cuisine.

About the Kakadu Plum Co

Kakadu Plum Co. is  a social enterprise that celebrates Indigenous culture and traditional Australian bush foods.

Kakadu Plum Co exists as a vessel to celebrate Indigenous culture everyday through food, broadening the exposure of traditional Australian bush foods and ingredients.

We are not an Aboriginal owned business. We work directly with Traditional Owners and Indigenous Australians who wild harvest many of our foods, including Kakadu Plum and our bush tea range. The communities and individuals we work with set the price for the foods grown on their land and we pay them directly. We believe that the more we can foster and help engage Indigenous Australians forage and engage in traditional practice and help them grow their bush food business on country, the more impact we make.

Our products provide a valuable way for the broader Australian (and the world) community to connect with ‘the oldest foods on earth’ and our traditional Indigenous produce.
