American-born Renée Treml moved to Australia in 2007, where she was immediately captivated by the unique wildlife in this country. Drawing on her background in ecology, Renee’s illustrations capture our favourite Australian animals beautifully, each one displaying their own unique character and charm. Renee's illustrations are created using a technique called scratchboard, which uses a board covered with a thin layer of clay. After hand-drawing the animal, Renee adds further detail by scratching through the layer of clay with a fine blade, revealing the white clay and creating beautiful dimension and detail in her illustrations. |
The stoneware ornament has been made and glazed by hand, creating a gorgeous organic feel with no two pieces exactly the same. Renee's illustration decal print has been applied by hand and fired again in the kiln for maximum durability.
Dimensions
This ornament measures approx. 8cm. Due to it's slightly larger size and weight it will need a sturdier branch if hanging in foraged branches or on your Christmas tree.

All our ceramics are handmade in our Noosa studio and variations in colour, glaze and size may occur ~ this is part of the beauty of the handcrafted ceramics process.
Backorders
If this piece is not in stock you may place your item on backorder. This means we will make it to order especially for you in our Sunshine Coast studio. Our current turnaround time for backorders is approx 2~4 weeks plus shipping. This may be longer depending on the size of your order.
We have new stock coming out of the kilns twice weekly, so more pieces may be on the way already. You will receive an email notification once your order is packaged and ready to be shipped.
