We are thrilled to bring this gorgeous collaboration with artist Renee Treml featuring illustrations of our favourite Australian animals on our handmade ceramics ~ perfect for unique gift-giving, high end souvenirs and overseas gifts.

American-born Renée Treml moved to Australia in 2007, where she was immediately captivated by the unique wildlife in this country. Drawing on her background in ecology, Renee’s illustrations capture our favourite Australian animals beautifully, each one displaying their own unique character and charm. Renee's illustrations are created using a technique called scratchboard, which uses a board covered with a thin layer of clay. After hand-drawing the animal, Renee adds further detail by scratching through the layer of clay with a fine blade, revealing the white clay and creating beautiful dimension and detail in her illustrations. |
The stoneware tray has been shaped and glazed by hand, creating a gorgeous organic feel with no two pieces exactly the same. Renee's illustration decal print has been applied by hand and fired again in the kiln for maximum durability.

Care Instructions
All our ceramics are made using Australian, non-toxic, food-safe clays and glazes.
All our ceramics are fired to very high temperatures, making them very strong and durable. All of our pieces ~ with the exception of gold lustre decorations ~ are dishwasher & oven safe. Take care to avoid sudden temperature changes (for example from the oven to a cold benchtop) as this is likely to cause thermal shock which can result in the piece cracking.
Gold lustre finishes are fired in the kiln for durability & food safety, however please note they are not dishwasher or ovenproof. DO NOT microwave lustre pieces as we use true gold!
Please wash before use.
Backorders
If this piece is not in stock you may place your item on backorder. This means we will make it to order especially for you in our Sunshine Coast studio. Our current turnaround time for backorders is approx 2~4 weeks plus shipping. This may be longer depending on the size of your order.
We have new stock coming out of the kilns twice weekly, so more pieces may be on the way already. You will receive an email notification once your order is packaged and ready to be shipped.
