Stunning Koala in a Tree necklace, a beautiful and unique piece of jewellery that captures the charm and whimsy of these beloved Australian animals and their home- the Eucalyptus tree. Crafted in Australia with intricate attention to detail, this necklace features a carefully sculpted Koala dozing comfortably in the fork of a Eucalyptus tree. The Koala's fuzzy ears, fluffy fur, and adorable face are expertly carved and then casted in Solid 100% Recycled Sterling Silver ~ bringing the little marsupial to life.

The Eucalyptus tree is included as an integral part of the design of this necklace, because they are so incredibly important to Koalas. Eucalyptus trees are Koala’s primary source of food and shelter. Koalas are unique in that they have adapted to survive on a diet consisting almost entirely of eucalyptus leaves. These trees provide the koalas with the necessary nutrients and moisture to survive, despite the fact that eucalyptus leaves are low in nutrients and are toxic to most other animals. Koalas also use the trees as a place to rest and sleep, as well as a way to avoid predators. Without eucalyptus trees, koalas would struggle to survive and maintain their populations, making the conservation of these trees crucial to the survival of this beloved Australian species.

At Maxine Noosa we create unique solid silver and gold pieces of jewellery that gives back to the nature it is inspired by. Our collections tell different stories, and our pieces are these stories that are to be collected like treasures.

We use pure and solid silver and gold, because we, like our clients, are disappointed when we come across jewellery that contains base metals - where the plating comes off, or worse - your skin turns green or starts to blister from an allergic reaction to these alloys. We believe jewellery should be long lasting and hypoallergenic.

Our original jewellery designs are meticulously designed and crafted by hand in Australia. Our pieces are produced either by hand, in our home studio, or through our curated supply chain of production partners.

We proudly support the work of the Australian Koala Foundation with our Noosa Koala Collection. A donation is made to the Foundation with each piece from the Koala Collection sold. We are also looking into more partnerships with conservation foundations to link to some of our special jewellery collections to maximise our social impact.
