About Renée Treml
American-born Renée Treml moved to Australia in 2007, where she was immediately captivated by the unique wildlife of this country. Drawing on her background in ecology, Renée’s illustrations beautifully capture our favourite Australian animals, each displaying their own unique character and charm. Her illustrations are created using scratchboard technique — a board covered with a thin layer of clay, hand-drawn and then intricately detailed by scratching through the layer with a fine blade to reveal the white clay beneath, creating beautiful dimension and texture.
Choose from:
- 12oz Stoneware Cup (approx. 340ml) — Ideal for coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or iced drinks. Slip-cast and glazed by hand for an organic, tactile feel.
- Pebble Tray (approx 23x13cm) — Perfect as a trinket dish, soap holder, jewellery tray, or decorative accent.
- Small Dish (approx 14.5x11cm) — Versatile for nuts, olives, rings, or as a charming standalone accent piece.
- Easter Ornament (approx. 8cm) — A delightful branch decoration or hanging keepsake to add Australian charm to your festive décor.
Renee’s delightful illustration is applied as a high-quality decal by hand and fired again in the kiln for lasting durability.
Handmade in Australia
Every item is crafted with care in our Noosaville studio using premium stoneware. Expect the beautiful imperfections and character that only true handmade ceramics offer.
All our ceramics are handmade in our Noosa studio and variations in colour, glaze and size may occur ~ this is part of the beauty of the handcrafted ceramics process.
Backorders
If this piece is not in stock you may place your item on backorder. This means we will make it to order especially for you in our Sunshine Coast studio. Our current turnaround time for backorders is approx 2~4 weeks plus shipping. This may be longer depending on the size of your order.
We have new stock coming out of the kilns twice weekly, so more pieces may be on the way already. You will receive an email notification once your order is packaged and ready to be shipped.

Care Instructions
All our ceramics are made using Australian, non-toxic, food-safe clays and glazes.
All our ceramics are fired to very high temperatures, making them very strong and durable. All of our pieces ~ with the exception of gold lustre decorations ~ are dishwasher & oven safe. Take care to avoid sudden temperature changes (for example from the oven to a cold benchtop) as this is likely to cause thermal shock which can result in the piece cracking.
Gold lustre finishes are fired in the kiln for durability & food safety, however please note they are not dishwasher or ovenproof. DO NOT microwave lustre pieces as we use true gold!
